Tell us what the appliance is doing
A good request saves time on both sides. When you book, describe the problem the way you would explain it to a neighbor: what you noticed, when it began and whether it happens every time. Short and specific beats long and general. “The washer stops with water still in the drum after the spin” tells us far more than “washer broken.”
What to include in your request
- The appliance: refrigerator, dishwasher, dryer, range and so on, plus gas or electric where that applies.
- Model and serial number: the label is usually inside a door, along a frame edge, on a back panel or inside the tub opening. Our guide to finding your GE model number shows where to look. A phone photo of the label works well.
- Any code on the display: copy it exactly, including capital and lowercase letters. You can compare it with the are explained on the error codes page..
- What changed: a power outage, a move, a new hookup, a remodel, or a sudden noise or smell.
- Access notes: stairs, a gate code, parking limits, a garage location, or building rules that apply to condo and apartment visits.
How scheduling works
Once we have your details, we confirm a visit window with you. The technician diagnoses the appliance in your home, explains what was found and gives you a written estimate. You decide whether to go ahead, and nothing is repaired without your approval. If a part has to be ordered, we tell you before you commit to anything.
Hours
Our hours are Monday to Saturday, from 8:00 AM until 7:00 PM. You can book online through the form on this page or by phone using the number shown on the site.
Where we come to you
We serve San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area, including the Peninsula, the South Bay, the East Bay, Marin and the wine country counties. Check the list of areas if you are unsure whether your town is covered.
Before the visit
If the appliance is leaking, unplug it or shut off its water supply when it is safe to reach. If you smell gas near a range or dryer, leave the home and call your gas utility from outside; the reasoning is in our article on gas near a GE range. Not sure what is wrong? Browse common GE appliance problems or the FAQ, then send your request.
