Error codeH2O SUPPLY / IE
ApplianceWasher
Start with these checks
Make sure water is reaching the washer from the house supply.
Open both supply valves. After installation, or a stretch away from home, one or both may still be off.
Give the lockout its 4 minutes; the controls stay unresponsive from the moment the message begins to scroll.
Begin the cycle again. Unplugging only resets that timer.
Front load washers
GE states that the H2O Supply error has nothing to do with chosen options or cycles. A pressure sensor issue or closed supply valves bring it on, and in rare cases extremely low water pressure. As a guard against overfilling, the washer typically runs the drain pump for 4 minutes. On some models the Wash and Rinse lights blink in place of the words.
2017 and newer electronic control washers
The same message is listed for these washers, with the same 4-minute lockout once it starts to scroll.
CAnCELEd: a canceled cycle, which carries a lockout too.
Washer service in San Francisco and the Bay Area
With the supply confirmed on and the code still showing, GE recommends service. Our washer repair page covers GE washers in San Francisco and the Bay Area; call (415) 729-2045 and have the code, model number and your valve checks ready.
Model compatibility: GE reuses codes across series and model years, so H2O SUPPLY / IE may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.
